What is happening between Russia and Ukraine?
Hey, so I am on Twitter and noticed someone Tweeted that Russian Warships have arrived in Ukraine.

To make things easier for you I'll just place a link so you can see for yourself.

I would be rather worried if warships had arrived in Kiev lol
I would NOT be surprised if Russian Tanks started clanking over the border

the Russians want Ukraine for it's factories and possibly to reunite the Soviet Union.
the Ukraine is sick of Russian dictatorship and want to join the EU as Europe will help them progress while also letting them be a independent country on their own.
the rebels are winning and the Russians want to help the government to take control.
the EU does not really care what is happening but will help the people.
the Americans want the factories and want to fight the Russians even though they are not involved.

I hate to burst the anticipation for excitement but this is perfectly normal in terms of ship movement as the Russians have a naval yard in the region.

Over 50% of Ukrainians are Russians who may be grateful for the military presence that serve as reassurance for them that Uncle Vlad is close by should they need him..

What the trouble stemmed from was the graft and corruption of the past regime. The ex president did everrything he could to enrich his own pockets to become very rich.
I am hearing in the news that these monies can be recovered .
W|hat the Ukrainians can do is pursue this monies and concentrate on rebuilding the nation. Leave the revenge part for another time. It is not worth dying for and losing more lives of the people he stole the monies from

Russia leases naval base from Ukraine in the city of Sevastopol. You can see Russian warships there every single day for the last few hundred years.

The Russian Black Sea Fleet is moored at Sebastapol and has been since WW2 - as far as I know - so what is the Tweeter on about?

It's like this. The western part of Ukraine is pro-Western Europe and most of the people there want to join the EU. During WW2 they supported the Nazis.

The Eastern part of Ukraine is pro-Russian and supported the Soviet Union during WW2 - as one of them said, "we think Russian and we speak Russian."

One house divided.

My attitude is dead simple Stay well back and allow the Russians to do what they want with it. It's their mess and not ours.

Bear in mind that within the ranks of the so-called Liberators of Kiev there are a lot of Neo-Nazis - in fact most of them are exactly that. Do we really want these people in the EU?

Things are so bad, I wonder sometimes why we, UK, continue to remain in a Union which is slowly being taken over by the far right.

The far right exploit difficult economic times such as those we are experiencing right now. They recruit unemployed youth and so forth.
