should I feel guilty or ashamed if I don't smile for my facebook profile picture?
im 36 and have recently changed my facebook profile picture? previously the picture was of a beautiful fox, now its just a picture of me that I took from my phone........but im not smiling, its a neutral expression.

im a good person....and I feel slightly guilty about doing that? my mum whom im very close to, who I love very much phoned me today and commented about me changing my profile picture.......she just said '' you've changed your picture haven't you ? ''

she didn't say I like it or anything, just commented that id changed it, my dad left a comment on the picture and my aunt did too......but I haven't logged in or seen the comments yet........my mum commented on the photo to.

she said on the phone, ' your lay on your bed aren't you ?' I said yes I took it whilst laying on my bed.

anyway, I just feel like ive done something wrong by uploading the photo? the fact that im not smiling?

You shouldn't feel guilty and ashamed of posting the picture, but you SHOULD feel guilty and ashamed that at 36 years old, you are letting this cause you such angst!

Big deal...your parents commented and so did your aunt. What's the problem here? You're not smiling....many people don't smile in photos.

Maybe the issue your parents have is that you took the picture while you were lying in bed. If it bothers you so much, change the picture. Did you really need someone to tell you this simple solution?
