windows 8.1 and internet explorer 11 fix?

Hi, I need someone who really knows computers HELP! I just bought an new desktop PC has Windows 8.1 has Internet Explorer 11. I see my computer saying not responding to yahoo.com, facebook.com etc., hit to check the problem. It still keeps doing it and freezing up is there a problem with these two programs running together, and is there a patch or fix for it. Thanks Denise

Download either google chrome or mozilla firefox. That should solve the problem with IE11

Often, Internet Explorer is a pain to use and also doesn't work well, or as it should. My best recommendation for you is to download a different internet browser.

Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome are both excellent alternatives to Internet Explorer, and usually work much, much better. They are also both free to download.

Firefox can be downloaded at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/,

and Google Chrome can be downloaded at https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/

I believe that both of these browsers also allow you to import settings and bookmarks from Internet Explorer, so you won't lose your stuff.
