Should i do it or not?

I recently started using Facebook again ( i stopped using it in 2009) anyway, In my old high school i knew a chick i was friends with her until i changed school this year so it has been months since we last saw each other, anyway i want to add her on facebook but i'm afraid she won't recognise me. but we were great friends. I'm also considering changing my profile picture before i add her because i'm wearing shades so she might find it hard to recognise me.

we have mutual friends but long story short i'm afraid she forgot me after about 8 months of not talking to each other! And if i added her and she accepted how do i start a conversation without being awkward or getting the FAMOUS "do i know u?" question. so i also need a conversation starter.

I say do it, what's the worst that could happen. Change the picture if you want. And try start it with " hey, i know we haven't talked in a while. How are you going? Is school ok? Miss all of yous heaps. Hope we can still be friends." or something like that. Good luck and don't forget that you don't have to worry about it. It will all be fine😊
