can i still send a snapchat to someone who deleted me?

my boyfriend said he got rid of snapchat and he has disappeared from my contacts list on it so I cannot add/see him on it. but I got his username in my recent updates and I sent him a photo to see what would happen and it says delivered, but hes telling me he has deleted snapchat? is he lying or what?

Depends on who they allow to send them photos. In the settings menu, there is an option to have only his friends send him snaps. Chances are he's not lying since the account is still active, its just his local account that was deleted, so it will still say 'delivered' until he re-downloads snapchat, signs in, and opens your snap.
