Internet connection help! ps2 and laptop not connecting to internet?

First of all this is how my household's internet connection works. The modem and the router is in my room. my laptop connects wirelessly and my ps2 connects with an ethernet cord(this is all in my room). Outside of my room my household's pc is connected to the router by a ethernet cord plugged into a plug that can detect any kind of internet connection within the house. So my dad went into my room last night my internet connection was working just fine for my ps2 and my laptop but his pc wasnt workin for internet. So he messes with it alot and like when i get home his pc works and my ps2 and my laptop doesnt. They both have internet they just won't connect for some reason? my laptop just keeps saying this "this internet connection has limited or no connectivity" someonehelp!!!!

This sounds like the ethernet cables might have been switched and the cable from the modem is going directly to your fathers PC then to the router.

The cable from the modem needs to go to the internet connection on the router and then the other hard lines will connect in the other ports.

This would be the first thing I check.
