It may be no problem on your end, rankings can fluctuate as algorythems are changed, page rank is a somewhat depreciated metric, the volume of traffic you are getting through the search engines is certainly a more important factor.

I am reluctant to advise getting more links, like I would have a couple of years ago, continuing to create original quality content is the safest bet.

If one i selling a site or renting links, page rank can be more important than it is as an seo metric.

If the site is registered with the Google Webmaster Tools, you might receive notifications if they don't like the backlink pattern for the site, the new Penguin SEO Spam filter is on the look out for unnatural link patterns, if this were an issue you would want to remove the suspicious links where possible, your reporting the bad links to Google's Disavow Tool is a last resort.

I trust you are using backiink reporting tools like opensiteexplorer.org or backlinkwatch.com many similar services tapped into the now defunct Yahoo site explorer data.

Hi,

I've seen your other question post regarding to disavow tool. If you received a notification from your Webmasters tool saying that you have bad links targeting your site, you did the correct thing to use the disavow tool to remove it.

If it wasn't for the poor link building that caused the decrease in ranks, it might be because of competitors are ranking higher for the keywords you were ranked for.

To gain your ranking back, you should continue to write more informative blog articles with long tail keywords or keywords you want to rank for. Generate more "quality" backlinks with your blog or other white hat tactics you have done in the past.

As of now, Google didn't do any major updates that might hit you hard. However, that doesn't mean Google is not updating. There are 200+ factors that can affect your ranking.

Just keep doing white hat SEO, blogging and linkbuilding and you should see your ranks go up again.

All I can advise you is to generate good quality and relevant content in your website. Link to relevant categories with good anchor texts. But most importantly make sure you have good content going live everyday.

You definitely should consult a professional trained in SEO. This is a significant drop in your page ranking. A SEO specialist can help you tweak your website to increase your SERP ranking again.
