Is facebook going to put myspace out of business.?
It seems like everyone I know likes facebook better. But on a customizable level Myspace is better. I think its that same customization that is losing Myspace points. I also know people say that Myspace lets people "Show off". While facebook has a straightforward approach. (no music or backgrounds)

That logic alone is amazing seeing how that shouldn't be a reason to use one social networking site over another.

Will facebook put myspace out of buisness or will they split the market share in half???

Facebook recently surpassed Myspace in amount of visitors, making Facebook the most popular social network, followed by MySpace and Twitter.

Try actually communicating with enough people, and then see how soon you get booted off Facebook... MySpace however doesnt carea s much.

Okey, firstly, a website can only be put down for two reasons : A crafty DoS (denial of service) attack that locks out users of the site from accessing their profiles; or financial difficulties. The rest are only minor reasons for the site to close down.

But we're not going to discuss that. We are however going to discuss the differences between the two Social Networks.

Facebook is a very good example of a non-customizable, working social hub that follows a simple concept : Connectivity. Connectivity without complications. Streamlined, not too much problems with the interface. And what's more, it's clean, not much clutter. Very good for those people who only wants to connect without the hassle of showing off (yes, I see the point of the questioner)

Multiply, on the other hand, targets those that like to dabble with their profiles. Very good for those who wants to show-off or to promote their services (majority of which are into design or arts). The customizable designs could (and would) be either the demise or the blessing of the viewer. As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Right?

It all comes down to the proper balance between the need to communicate and the need to promote yourself.
