How to make vuse default for magnets / torrents?

I have windows XP, Google chrome and I have previously had utorrent installed but switched to vuse as utorrent stopped working at pirate bay (this may have been a temp situ but vuse is faster so I stuck with it).

Now when I click a magnet link it asks permission to launch utorrent (which isn't there). I can copy the magnet link and paste it into vuse but others with less understanding use my computer and it shouldn't be this hard.

I have tried everything posted online but nothing has worked. From the vast amount of vague and at times completely wrong information I have had to wade through please don't answer unless you ACTUALLY KNOW!

You have a wrong file association on your computer. You shouldn't use Windows XP - it is soon unsupported, and your computer will be vulnerable to ... stuff.

Anyways, the easiest way of fixing this should be to uninstall (through Programs) uTorrent, uninstall Vuze, and then just reinstall Vuze. Vuze should check for its file associations during install, and setting that right should solve your problem.
