My internet connection is working but Internet explorer does not work?
My internet connection is working. Because Firefox, google talk, Voipcheap these programs are working normally. I could access the webpages in Firefox mozilla brower. But Internet explorer and Windows live messenger do not work. Please help me to solve this problem.
My internet connection is working very good. Because Firefox, Google talk, Voipcheap these programs are working normally. I could access the web pages in Firefox Mozilla browser. I am posting this new message through Firefox browser. But Internet explorer and Windows live messenger do not work. I reset the setting of Internet explorer. But it doesn't work. In MSN messenger it displays error 80072ee7 and when i run troubleshooting, there are a yellow sign in DNS and Key Ports. no signs (no ticks or no other) in IE's offline setting and Wireless. What could that be? What's the problem? Please help me to solve this problem. Thanks a lot.

Clear your browser cache and try again. If that works, great. Otherwise, install and update virus and spyware scanning software and start scanning your PC. (AVG Free, Spybot Search & Destroy, Adaware, etc.)

Clean anything the software finds and run it over and over until it no longer finds anything then install all Windows Updates.

You may have a wrongly set proxy server in Internet Explorer's settings.

I do not know IF I can be ANY help...but-----

please double check that you have all the updates from microsoft.....including IE 7.
click on your blue E icon on your desktop, and go down to properties. check everything to make sure it is as you want.

don't know much else.

"I" had 'a' issue recently when I reformatted my C drive and had to start all over again programming my software.
I just kept trying everything I could, to check all was well.
biggest issue "I" had was updating from microsoft.


by the way......evidently you are using a different browser to type here at yahoo huh?

The problem occured mostly by the third party firewall. such as - McAfee, Kaspersky third party firewalls.
The internet connection is working properly. but the softwares (internet explorer or msn ) may blocked by these third party firewall. You first have to check the firefall setting.

Do you have any third party firewalls, like McAfee, Norton, Zone Alarm, etc?

It is difficult to know what happened.
There are three solutions i think.

1.check the firewall setting (windows and third party)
or
2. Have you tried using System Restore to go back to a time when everything worked? it may help you.
3.Try to uninstall the third party firewall software. (but I wont recommend to do that. First of all try the 1 & 2.)
