When using Wi Fi in a house, would the house owner see the websites you are viewing? Is what you see recorded?

Would the names of the websites you go on appear on a phone bill?

Not likely.

Unless they're extreme hacker.
But they cant do that unless you have a software on your phone that they have on their computer. Youre fine

Yes however the owner would have to use a special software for the wireless router and be a experience hacker to be able to track all websites visited by users. The majority of companies also monitor their employees this way as well just to see what websites their employees go to during work hours.

You'd need to contact the ISP and ask if they send the web activity to the customers. Additionally, you'll have to find details about the wifi router used. It's possible there exists a feature where web sites are logged. If you're paranoid about the security of your activity set up Torr on your laptop then ALL your activity will be 100% secure. The wifi router aside, using wifi carries many vulnerabilities. Using a cell phone on the same network I could sniff all of the packets you send which will reveal even passwords to every site.

If they really want to, they can. Not by "being extreme hacker" as someone put it, or by contacting the ISP, but by putting a simple packet sniffing device between the access point and the modem.

However it's not likely they're doing that, and the websites wouldn't be on a phone bill. You probably don't have to worry about it.
