Anyone know good internet filters...??
I need some good filters that will filter adult content since I have kids. I used the IE parent control but it basically blocks EVERYTHING and I have to type a password just to get to google....Anything that works with IE and Firefox would be great!

Parental control software.
there are several to choose from,

K9, simple and easy to use

Norton online family is very strict,
easy to use and easy to set up,
just choose the age of your child,
it then sets itself accordingly
or you can adjust the settings to suit your preferences.

windows live family safety also simple to use and effective,
but you need to have a hotmail account.
if you do not have one already then just make one.

all are free to download and use.

K9 > http://www1.k9webprotection.com/

Norton Online Family > https://onlinefamily.norton.com/familysa...inStart.fs

Windows Live Family Safety > http://explore.live.com/windows-live-family-safety

Windows Live Family Safety compliments the inbuilt parental controls perfectly.

Norton Online Family works the best for me..

Depends what browsing software you use.

I use GOOGLE CHROME and from the chrome web store, there is a free add-on called "WEB FILTER PRO" and that filters all adult content out. If there are some websites that you would like specifically to be blocked then you can also just eneter in that website and it will block it for you. I use it and its very good blocking out all the nasty stuff that the interent has to offer.

For IE, there is already a built in interent filter.

Open internet explorer > Click TOOLS > Open the CONTENT tab > Click on the ENABLE button > Click on the APPROVED SITES tab > From there you can either manually enter in all the websites that you would like to be blocked or if you click on the RATINGS tab, you can select all of the options that IE will block out and move the slider bar beneath and adjust to the level of security you would like IE to hold those inappropriate websites at.
