Tell them about your concern. Ask to watch them queue it up to print and watch when they close the document to be sure they do not save it. They should just open the document from your source, select the print option and send it to the printer, then close the document. If they are not willing to do that, find some other place to get it printed. FYI, most public libraries have printers you can use.

Well, that could be a problem...
Several brand/models of printers have hard drives on them (just like computers). These copiers are more common in corporations or large operations.
When a document is readied to be copied, a 'soft' copy is saved to the hard drive.
Data on the hard drive can be retrieved by the operator/owner.
(Data on the HDD can even be 'slurpped' by hackers if the device has an Internet connection.) http://www.pcworld.com/article/2026683/p...scape.html

Call the print shop and ask them what model printer they have beforehand, and research the mfgr's site to determine if it has a hard drive. Don't ask the shop: sometimes they don't know squat about the actual equipment.

In case that's not enough to worry about, you must make sure (if you're using a digital device to migrate to the print shop) to take your files to be printed on a CD.
If the printer has been hacked (with the Conficker worm for instance) your media won't be getting infected, and cross contaminating your home system/network.
USB drives should be set to "Read only" after you load the fotos/documents, then you will be protected at the kiosk. Reverse the setting after you get back home.

Trust no one.
