Instagram help - was i hacked?

last night i got an email that said my email address has been changed and someone added an "i" after.com in my email address. instagram says i need to secure my account by entering a code i get in a text message online. i can still log into my instagram but i can not like or post anything or delete my account until i secure my account. but when i try and enter the code i recieve in the text message it says the code is wrong.. please help ! i use this for my business and if i cant get secured i just want the account to be gone so i can create a brand new one

Starting to look like we are hacked.... This exact same thing happened to me three days ago. Only difference is that I received an email that said someone added a 'g' at the end of my email. I have logging on from several sources and tried the code many times over the last few days and have not been able to get past the security check point. I emailed the support team three days ago and have yet to hear an answer... Please let me know if you figure anything out and I will do the same!
