My friend change his IP address to manual that block my Internet connection. What I should do?

A month ago, my roommate had problem with Internet connection, then he changed his IP address to manual. Since then, my connection is blocked whenever he using Internet. Does it have any technical way to stop this blockage?

If you are using windows, go to network and sharing center, click on ur internet connection, which opens a new window, click on properties, Select TCP/IPV4, click on properties and check obtain ip address automatically and obtain DNS server address automatically, and click ok and ok and close, this should resume your internet connection
