Frequent loss of internet connection...?
I'm using a Philips wireless thingy which is picked up by the built in wireless in my Vaio laptop. I lose internet connection very frequently and the only way I can get it back again is to unplug the Philips and then plug it back in again a few seconds later.

I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the Philips, as the PC that it is connected to doesn't lose internet connection all the time, or if it is just a rubbish broadband provider (it's Virgin by the way).

Thanks for any help.

Could be you have flaky connection to begin with. It might possibly be the router/modem, or your laptop's wireless.

I suggest contacting your ISP for help.

well, there are a lot of reasons may cause the instable of the internet connections.
you can try wireshark, it is very easy to troubleshoot the network problems.
