I have a 100mbp/s connection?
I have a 100mbp/s connection. But, the downloading speed is only 50kbp/s. Others in the same connection gets 200kbp/s to 300kbp/s. How can I increase my speed to that much.

Is that the speed mentioned by your service provider? If so, then it would be advertised as speeds up to 100 mbps. If it's cable internet your bandwidth is shared among everyone in your neighbourhood.

it depends on the server you are downloading from.
not all servers have uncapped bandwidth downloads. many servers have download bandwidth caps. so even with 1Gbps connection you will still only download at w/e the cap was set at. also internet is sold in bits not bytes. 100Mbps (megabits) = 12.5 MBps (megabytes) so you have UP TO 12.5MB/s to share between those on your network. now is UP TO, meaning thats the max. you actually share bandwidth with other paying customers. if those other customers use a lot of bandwidth, you may get less. go try downloading a game on steam while no one else is using your internet. |
