Why do ordinary people use twitter?

I can understand why celebrities use it (to reach out to his/her fans), but why would anyone else use it? Who would care ?

"Ordinary people" are the fans of the celebrities...so why wouldn't "ordinary people" use Twitter?? Who would these celebrities be reaching out to on Twitter if no one used Twitter other than said celebrities?

Twitter allows you to communicate with people all around the world for many different reasons. Some people just use it for fun, others use it for business purposes such as networking.
