How to block people on tumbr?

So i want to block people so they can't see my blog anymore, like it stops them following me and they can't find me (unless the know my URL i guess) i don't want them to see my posts on their dashboard anymore or anything. I looked at ignore users but apparently if you ignore a user they are still following you and can still easily see your blog using that? thanks

You can't blog people from seeing your blog. Once you ignore them, they can't answer your questions, reply to your posts, or send you a message in your inbox. But your blog is public so they will always be able to see your blog. They just can't interact with you. You can create a password protected blog but you'll need to tell the people you want to be able to see your blog the password. But to create a password protected blog, I think you'll have to start a new blog which I doubt you'll want to do.

Here's how to create a password-protected blog:
1.Click the menu in the upper right area of the Dashboard that shows all of the blogs on your account. The 2.icon for the menu is a small circle with a triangle inside of it.
3.Click “Create a new blog” at the bottom of the menu.
4.Enter the title and desired URL, then check the box that says “Password protect this blog.”
5.Enter a password.
6.Click “Create private blog.”
