How do you turn off the notification box off on twitter?

You probably already know that twitter has made some new changes but every time I get a tweet or someone has favourited my tweet,retweeted me or I get a inbox message there is a notification box and it keeps coming up as I get new notifications,I preferd it when I could just click where it says how many notifications I have because it is less annoying, it pops up so much when I'm tweeting. Does anybody know if twitter has enabled a setting to disable this new feature?

You need to modify it in settings and untick the things you don't want to see,
