Time Warner Cable internet help. please answer soon.?
Hi so we had payed to get internet again from TWC and they had given us a new modem looks exactly the same as the new one we already got from them but anyways they said to hook it up like how we have our orginal one so i did and they said they would just come by and turn it all on from the outside somehow nd earlier i noticed these 4 lights come on and stay on which it didnt do that b4 and the lights that are on now are power, ds, us, and online. I tryed hooking up my laptoo to the modem by ethernet cable and a TWC page came up when i tryed to usethe internet saying registration. I really quickly did it which was nothing betting entering an email and making a TWC aemail. After all that i can now get online and use the internet but only with an ethernet cable. The wifi light isnt on or anything. And the usual network name we had before on the modem before this one doesnt come up on my laptop. Is something wrong or do they have to somehow turn on wifi from over their through their computer or something. I just cant see how i can vet online with ethernet but the wifi light isnt on and the usual network we use isnt showing up. Will we have to make a brand new one or what. Im just really confused at whats going on.
I found that number thing to type in on the paper that came with the box and i just went through the basic stuff and changed the network name and put it to allow wireless connection and the light doesnt come on till after i restart the router but when i try to sign in using my laptop itll keep saying wrong password and after like 3 tries the wifi light turns off

It looks like you need to set up your wireless network again..
There is a helpful link in the sources that will provide more of an explanation..

open a command prompt by going to your start menu and typing cmd in the search box.. or if in windows 8 right click on the bottom left corner of your desktop and select command prompt (administrator)
type ipconfig /all
press enter
the entry you are looking for in all the stuff that comes up is gonna say "default gateway" on the left of the command prompt window
it should say 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 or some variation thereof..
once you get the exact number (it's called an IP address)
open an internet explorer window
type the IP address that you got in command prompt into the address bar.
that will take you to the web interface for the router you are using and let you set up your wireless internet connection again.
the steps for setting that up will depend on what type of router it is
you can likely find instructions from the manufacturer or from time warner cable
