Can you send a direct message to someone on twitter using the twitter app?
If so, how do I? And step by step? I have no idea how to and I can't seem to find any options that will let me

Really I can't send any direct message through twitter app because it only shows tweets.

It's better you login from opera mini browser. ;-) You can send direct message through twitter.com site from opera mini browser.

Go on the persons profile
on the side youll see a button and it will be the outside of a bald person (next to the following button)
then click on that
and it will say
SEND A DIRECT MESSAGE
