Why does Yahoo mail not work with Windows 8.1?

I'm running the new Yahoo mail on Windows 8.1 and Firefox 27.0.1. Lately, Yahoo mail just stops working where I can't do anything since no buttons are active or it says mail is taking too long to load. For instance, even right now I can't submit this issue since the Submit button isn't responding. How do you contact Yahoo to see if they are doing anything to fix it? I'm ready to ditch Yahoo mail entirely.
Thanks, Barkley. So, the first suggestion isn't the case here. I updated Firefox to 28, have a fast computer, lots of memory and a fast internet connection. It looks like there may be a conflict when you're using AdBlock Plus. When I disabled it, then things seem to be working better. But of course I immediately received a bunch of sponsored ad emails and was encouraged to watch an "Unbelievable French Video" in the sidebar. As much as I enjoy French film, I'm not sure it's worth the irritation.

I am using Firefox 28 with Windows 8.1 and Yahoo Mail works fine. Try clearing the cache and restarting. Most problems are due to a slow computer, low memory, or a slow internet connection.

Also if you have many add-ons try disabling them and see what happens. I had a freeze up due to conflicting add-ons.
