HELP please!?

My ex and I were really good friends.
We got into a big argument in January/beginning of February and we didn't talk for 2 months.

We play in the same soccer league, and about a month ago, I stopped him to tell him I wanted to talk to him, and he said he couldn't.

Last weekend (not this past one), he messaged me on Facebook (he blocked me, so he unblocked me) saying: "you said you wanted to talk the other day? I'm listening…"
So we were kind of talking, and I guess I wasn't saying what he wanted to hear so he stopped responding and blocked me again.


THEN on Saturday, I guess he unblocked me and messaged me saying "i try being friendly with you but the way you act sometimes just annoys the hell out of me…"
So we were texting, and then he texts me: "just that I wish we could be chill, but that seems like hopeful wishing"

So I replied with "it doesn't have to be hopeful wishing.."
And then he goes "maybe you're right, but at this point with the way I am and the way you are it is… and before it comes up if it ever comes up, I'd like to make it clear that I have no intentions to date you again"

I don't want to date him now anyways, since I want to study abroad


But we ended up having dinner later that night

Why would he want me in his life if he didn't want to be with me again..?


He was clearly thinking about me last week.
But loser hasn't accepted my follow on Instagram or friend request lol...

Please stop talking to him. He's an ******. He only speaks to you when he feels like it. Like youre a little plaything he takes out of a box and dusts off from time to time when he's ready. And the fact that youre just so readily available to talk to him when hes ready makes it even worse. He blocks you then unblocks you then tells you youre annoying like its your fault that hes annoyed by you. Once youre annoyed by someone thats about it because then any little thing they do bothers you and theres nothing that person can do. Stop talking to him. Completely stop talking to him. Don't respond to his messages and stop making an effort.
That "just to make it clear, I will never date you again" was plain rude. No one deserves to be talked to like that. Don't even be his friend, he doesnt even deserve that from you. Ignore him and stop trying to speak to him and I bet you your life would be a lot easier. And if you did want to be with him (which it kinda sounds like you do, it's okay you can say you do, bc I used to be in the sameee situation), ignore him, block him, and stop making an effort and I bet you my best pair of shoes that in a while, he'll be the one trying to make an effort.
