Scary (as in, the 'thin end of the wedge'), and goes against all principles of democratic accountability and transparency. And generally a bad idea (as in, won't work anyway).

The guys tough, and that's exactly what Turkey needs. Although people may find his methods unorthodox, fact is, this dude turned Turkey from a third world dictatorship into a future key global power.

Think its awful, what will be next facebook/YouTube. It seems as though the government is trying to cut everyone off from the rest of the world. And they wonder why they've been waiting so long to become part of the EU!

Unnecessary.

Everybody in Turkey will use applications like Hotspot Shield or change their DNS settings.

It is just a prevention before the elections to exterminate the public awareness. However, it will not work. This ban will just show him as a dictator and dishonour the liberty in Turkey.

It happened for Youtube as well and it will be solved for sure. It's exactly the same. For youtube there were insulting videos to our founder Ataturk and so Turkish court blocked the website. That time people couldn't protest it since he was Ataturk Smile

Now, there are some twits with naked photos of a person, let's say Mary. Mary seeks for help to remove her unwanted photos to be removed from twitter. In this case her ex-boyfriend published it. Twitter doesn't care her and so she goes to court. Then court says to Twitter remove her photos, but Twitter again doesn't care the court. So then court takes a decision to block Twitter in Turkey.

Now twitter will remove this part and then it will be opened again.

I wonder what would you do in case of your mother's naked photos post with a twit. Would you apply to twitter first and then go to court? No? and what would court do to protect the claimer? I'm sure it was the last solution.
