Laptop will not provide wifi password box for wireless connection?
I'm trying to connect to my home wifi with a Asus X501U Laptop with Windows 7. I try to join my home network but there is no where to provide a password. And i've googled some answers but they never work like:
"Go to Start->Run, type "ncpa.cpl" (no quotes), and hit enter. Locate your wireless network adapter, right click it, and select Properties. Select the Wireless Networks tab, locate your SSID in the Preferred Networks box, select it, hit Properties, and enter your network key." but when I right click my adapter to select "properties" it's not there it only says "connect" what do i do? Check you router for SSID and wifi password:
http://192.168.1.1/ or http://192.168.0.1/ will get you there - admin and password required.. Or google your router make/model for specifics. This aint a home network problem you have connectivity issues. --- MoRE Go to Control Panel Network and Internet Mange Wireless Networks Click Connect to a Network (to the right) Will show all Wireless nets in your laptop. Click Manage Wireless Networks (left side) you can add one manually. Or right click ICON in right lower corner for those in your vicinity -- be sure your NIC cable is not connected. Ads |
