Type the phone number in the upper search box, This will only work if the person you're looking for has added their phone number to their profile

If you want to find your friend by number they should check there 'Who can look you up using the phone number you provided?' in Privacy options to "Everyone"

it is not possible yet to finding someone on Facebook with their mobile number.

Sorry, it is not possible now to find someone through their contact.
Facebook try to implement this feature as soon as possible.
But now you will find all people on their profile name.
