Yahoo Messenger account problem?
Hi, whenever I try to sign in to YM, I enter my correct username and password but it displays an error message every time:
We can't sign you into Yahoo! Messenger. There might be a problem with your internet connection. Make sure your computer is connected to the internet. Click troubleshoot to begin a series of tests to diagnose the connection problem. I clicked the troubleshoot button and then it crashes. Is this a common problem? Any help concerning this is appreciated. Ads |

I am getting that error too on my YM version 10. Yesterday that problem was on for several hours before it was fixed. But today the error returned and it hasn't been fixed yet.
However, I tried version 11 and it seems to be working fine. You might want to give it a try if you happens to be using version 10 too. To check your version, click on> Help > About Yahoo Messenger. Ads |

Your not alone - I've been trying for the last 2 1/2 hours...
I use version 10.0.0.1270 as I see some other are also using... A thought just crossed my mind - could Yahoo Messenger be ~deliberately~ be doing this to push people to use a new version??? The new version which I've tried really sucks. New isn't always better - which is why I use the version I do... It's7:40 PM here in Los Angeles now, on Friday March 28th... Friday March 28th, 8:50 PM:UPDATE: I uninstalled version 10.0.0.1270 and installed version 11.0.0.2014 and was able to connect to Yahoo Messenger with no problem. And also reinstalled Ad Banner Remover Plus - and the Conversation History is not working now... |

Had the same problem with Messenger 10, on 2 computers: Windows 8.1 and Windows 7. I tried Messenger 11 on the 8.1 machine, and it worked immediately. I guess Yahoo decided to disable Messenger 10 to force users to upgrade to 11. I didn't want to use 11 because I don't like my conversation to be stored online. I guess users opinions mean little to the new Yahoo management.
