Why is my internet so slow?

All other devices in my home have normal connection speeds but my laptop can't get enough data to stream a simple video. I though that I might have a virus but then I noticed that when I went to a Starbucks or somewhere else that had WiFi I could stream the videos just fine.

IF IT'S A VIRUS THEN WHY DOES MY INTERNET RUN JUST FINE WHEN I AM AT ANOTHER WIFI HOT SPOT!

Start my cleaning up malware and your registry. Then scan for viruses and clean those.

Run each program twice, and reboot once every scan.

Malware is likely the killer. That's why MAC is so much superior. Might be a few bucks more, but piece of mind.

Maybe that's just because wifi speed is slow in your home.You can try to free download My WIFI Router software,which can turn your laptop to be a virtual wifi router,you can use it as extender or repeater.Signal will be better.

Slow internet browsing can be very frustrating. It's possible that there is something specific to your location and equipment that is causing the slow down.

It helps to unplug modem and router for a second every few days if you have lots of devices going on internet .
