how do i fix my internet connection on my wii and dsixl?

i got a Wireless internet connection from the last 2 months on my wii.the connection was yellow but it still worked.Normally it would not last longer the than 3 days and i will have to search the connection over and test it again to see if it is usable.Then one day the connection or access point stopped so i did the same thing i always did i found the access point and tried to test it to connect to it.But this time it said unable to connect. So i thought it just didn't connect.so i tried again for 1 month still the same thing happened it was unable to connect.but before the month past after the next day.I tried it on my dsi xl only this time my connection on the dsi xl was green.but after the connection test was finished it said unable to obtain ip address.i did some research on the computer and tried to do it manually and still the samething happened so how do i fix it.I don't have a router i used a modem for the connection and still have it

Your best bet, as you have no router (although I don't see how you have no router with a wireless internet connection) is to call your internet provider.
