Girl stopped talking to me suddenly. Don't know why.?

Alright here's the story.
I started talking to this girl for a little while. We'd talk everyday for ages on social media. This girl goes to my school. We didn't really talk much at school, but if we ran into each other we'd have a little convo and agree to talk later online. She walked the same way to classes so we'd sometimes talk when we saw each other.
However, about 5 days ago, I sent her a message online. She saw it ("Seen at this time"), but there was no response. I left it because I assumed she was busy.
The following day in the morning I sent her a simple message saying "Hi". There was no response. When at school, I was waiting for my friend outside a class. She'd normally walk past there on that day as well. I saw her, but she didn't look at my, in fact, she was on the opposite side of the side walk, which she never normally did.
I've sent her messages asking what's wrong and is everything okay? I know she's been active on fb because status updates and stuff. I'm afraid to ask her in person for 2 reasons.
1. She's always around her friends, who aren't very fond of me.
2. I'm afraid to in case it causes a scene and possibly makes it worse.

Does anyone know what could have caused this? I've gone through our old messages and there was nothing said that could have offended her. Our last convo was just us being us, acting funny and having a few laughs.

Also. When she used to walk past me. Normally she'd smile at me or she'd come to me and talk to me.
Also. I had no intention of trying to become her boyfriend. I liked her as a friend. I want to be able to talk to her again because it was nice having a friend who was not only a girl, but someone who was fun and I could talk to all the time.

She could've gotten bored of talking to you. She may have found a guy she likes. Or she sees you more of a online talking person.
