You lose your eBay and PayPal memberships for failure to follow-through on a winning bid.

Don't bid if you don't want it. If you win, you have to pay. So if you have won something, then you have to go and pay for it.

If you win an auction on Ebay, you are required to buy the item. However, the seller may, and I stress the word "may," be willing to let you off of the hook if you contact them right away. Otherwise, they can report you as a non-paying bidder, which hurts your feedback score, and possibly, your standing as an Ebay user.

If you win the bid you're the person who has to buy it but if you bid on the item and there's still time left then you can cancel your bid or the seller can do it for you. Also if you don't want it just message the seller saying you don't want it now, he/she will relist it. But when you're bidding for things try and be certain that you want it.

Hope I helped.

you can ask the seller to cancel your bid (i have had people ask me-- it is possible!)
or you can just pay.

BUT do not let the item sit for months and hope it will disappear. it will not diappear.

you have no idea how many times i have emailed people saying "if you don't want the item i can cancel" and they say "really? thanks! I was just planning on ignoring it."
