Is it possible the gateway in company can log my username & password??Because whatever data packet I am sending to gmail server goes via company's router / gateway.

Gmail uses HTTPS and its an SSL website unless your company has SSL Decrypter they wont be able to read SSL traffic

Most companies today fire you for personal use while on the clock. And yes, a good company has key-loggers, to identify actual steps that went into a computer issue, or actual time spent on the computer. You should check comp policy for using the computer while at work so you dont get into trouble.

No it is not possible because it is the headache of GOOGLE not your company's router.

It is possible in theory but extremely unlikely.
Like Aaron said, the communication between your browser and gmail is encrypted. |
