Why is netflix always poor quality for me?
I have 57 mbps. Netflix recommends at most 12 mbps and that's for 3d which I don't use. My computer is custom made (Cost me $1,800 last year.) I treat it very well and nothing else is diverting my connection. My ISP is xfinity.

It takes me around 25 minutes to get HD for a 2 hour movie and even then it fluctuates.
I think you're missing the point. Why can't I have HD I meet all the requirements.

CHECK IT.
a good connection should be.
20mbs down+
1mb upload+
50 ping or less.
Download is 1/10 so a 100 download will download at about 10mbs per second.
Check it to make sure you are getting what you are paying for also take into consideration the fact wireless connections.

Do you have any viruses/trojans that are slowing you down, if so, I'd suggested antivirus software - http://home.mcafee.com/root/campaign.aspx?cid=83831

or possibly your monitor can't display HD content which could possibly slow your computer down also, you could try lowering your monitor's display settings,
from what you've described it could be a hardware or software issue, what I would recommend is to contact Netflix ( 1-866-579-7172 ) or check if your computer is having any malfunctions/viruses.
