Septum piercing jewelry?
So the horseshoe I originally got my septum pierced with was a 14g and I definitely could not flip it up, it won't even make it past my cartilage. I went out and bough 16g horse shoe which hangs a little lower and I still can not flip it up. Do they make a certain jewelry that's spread apart more that makes it easier to flip or am I just gonna have to ruin my jewelry I just bought? I'm not going to have to move down to like an 18g am I :/ I just need to know how to flip up my septum piercing I guess what kind of jewelry? http://instagram.com/p/mL1aI7G2Mg/

Septum retainers, they kind a resymble a staple, also you try removing the balls?
Or try a smaller diameter ring? The gauge don't matter as much as the diameter Ads |

It doesn't matter the gauge, it matters the length. You can have a horseshoe that's slightly bigger than your nostrils and it might not fit. I recommend going to a local piercing shop and ask to look at their horseshoes. Compare it to the size of your nostrils, the shorter the jewelry the more likely it can fit. Also, make sure the space between the balls is wide enough to allow it to be flipped.
