I cannot zoom-in and out of Facebook on my iPad. What should I do?
I have been opening Facebook on my iPad for about 5 months now. It was only yesterday afternoon that pinching to zoom-in and out stopped working. Aside from this, the website also doesn't automatically adjust when I rotate the screen - The screen lock is disabled. I tried opening other websites and they're all functioning normally. This is the only website I am having trouble with. Any solutions to this problem? I'm getting bothered by it.

I know exactly what is causing it.

In Safari on the Mac, enable the developer menu. change your user agent to iPad,

Open Facebook.com. View source. Search for user-scalable=0
that is the exact code which is causing this problem. It is instructing iPad safari to not allow zooming.

Now go back and change the user agent back to desktop safari. Reload Facebook and view the source code. The user-scalable=0 line is gone.

The only workaround is to use Atomic Browser on the iPad and change the user agent to something else like desktop Safari.

If anyone has a contact at Facebook please let them know about this immediately as is is ruining the facebook experience for iPad users.
