I already have Windows Defender running, its the only anti virus or anti spyware software i have on my computer. i understand that you shouldnt have multiple anti virus programs on you computer but you can and should have a anti virus with an anti spyware. Basically Im trying to find a free software that will remove the ads, and popups. Thanks!

First run a small scan on your pc
2nd run a disk cleanup
Delete temp files and cookies
Disable some unwanted program from the startup items
Change display settings

Yes you need a paid Antivirus program in order to keep safe & secure your computer.

There are so many antivirus programs however as per my knowledge PC Cleaners Pro is the best and affordable Cleaners Software. I am already using that software on my 3 PC's and its Awesome. and the best part its so easy and user friendly program wherein you can easily download from website and you can purchase that software.

To remove those annoying ads on ALL your browser's you must perform these actions:
1.Download Adaware which will definitely remove those annoying ads
2.Make sure you have malwarebytes installed and do a quick scan

I clean machines almost every day. I use

1. ccleaner (http://www.piriform.com)
2. Malaware bytes (http://www.malawarebytes.org)
3. Spybot (http://www.safer-networking.org)

And make sure AVAST are up and running. All the programs stated can be downloaded free. You always have an option to pay for higher level of protection if you want.

Some tips.

- Run ccleaner first so that the scans will go faster. It will clean up temp files and caches from the browsers.
- I run Malaware next, quick scan. Make sure to update after install, they put out new updates all the time.
- I then start spybot, update it, immunize, then scan.

The last two might ask for a reboot. Do it and be patient, they can take a while to run depending on how full your disk is.

I prefer AVAST these days, but AVG also works. Register the free version for 1 year use.

Computer hackers seeking financial gain rather than thrills or notoriety are increasingly flooding the Internet with malicious software code (spyware, adware, key loggers, trojans). They are infecting computers with highly sophisticated programs that record surfing habits, bank passwords and other key financial data and send them to crooks over the Internet. These programs can be hard to spot, disguised in downloads such as toolbars, search engines, browser accessories, screen savers and other seemingly helpful utilities.

SpyNoMore anti-spyware safeguards your identity and restores system performance through fast, smart and powerful spyware protection.

Windows Defender is not enough. You need an anti-virus and I'll suggest the free Avast Anti-virus here. To block pop ups, depending on your browser, got to Tools and search for the option to block pop ups and make sure it's enabled. Also install a free browser add-on called Adblock Plust to block ads,pop ups,and roll out windows.
