okay so u become buddies with his friends . and eventually ill hang wit em and him and u noe get his number . ir tell someone theyll eventually tell him and the whole school know (happened to me .-.)
or he will get your # from ur friend randomly if he knows u like him ( also happened)

Is he your friend on Facebook? Or do you follow each other on Twitter?

Message him asking for some help with some work if you are in the same class at school/college etc. Even if it's "Hey, just wondering if you know when this is due in?" or something, you can then talk about school/college etc.

If you're not in any classes or anything like that, message him saying "Hey, I've decided to be more sociable haha. How are you?" then start asking him about what his interests are.

Then eventually be like "Is it okay if we talk via text?" and if he says yes, ask for his number!

If you are friends with him on facebook pop up just saying hey, you okay? and if he writes back start a convo asing what hes doing at the weekend then in the middle of it make an excuse why you have to go like 'someone needs the laptop' and then so but we can text if you want? thats normally what i would do hope this helped
