Internet Explorer Problems?

I just recently (about a month ago) updated my Internet Explorer to 12. Ever since when I open Internet Explorer, instead of loading Google, it just shows blank in the tab. When I try to search through the link bar, it just stays blank. Right now I am using Chrome.

When I go to the link it doesn't search it. When I click tools I can not click Internet Options.
The problem, btw, is not with google, it is with IE its-self.

I thought 11 was the latest.

goto what ever google site you want, then goto IE's tools, internet options, general tab, home page & click the use current box.

I'm on IE 10 in Compatibility View on Win 7.

I see a gear icon in the upper right of my IE interface; hoving it shows Tools; clicking it gives a dropdown list w/ Internet Options.

There is also a Tools in the Menu bar under IE's address window.

If it doesn't show, rt click in a blank space under the window & choose Menu bar.

Click on the gear icon & choose about IE to see what version you have.

I didn't know there was an internet explorer 12?
I have 11, and I thought that was the latest version.
