How can I fall asleep when im paranoid as heck?
So to start Im 14 and decided to stay the night at my cousins house. Well I decided to sleep on the couch which is out in the living room far away from everyone and im starting to regret my decision cause im too afraid to go to sleep for whatever reason. Im not really scared of the dark, but I have a VERY VERY wild imagination and if something doesnt scare me i'll unwillingly create something in my mind that does, so im sitting out here with the lights on which makes me feel ok but I dont want to like waste electricity. Anyways I was watching the tv til by some cruel twist of fate the power decided to go out twice Smile So now im sitting here scared to death of myself with all the lights on and unable to sleep. Any ideas on how I can like.....force myself to lay down and go to sleep?? Cause i'd literally keep myself up all night >.>

Build yourself a dream with lots of details. Maybe your dream is a house, or maybe it's the person of your dreams. Or something else. Get lost in creating each curve and line.

Whenever you feel your mind wandering towards things that scare you, switch back to the details.
