INTERNET CONNECTION PROBLEMS (ADV)?
Hi.
My name is Dallas Mitchell and I have a rather annoying Internet problem. I live in New Zealand and my Internet Service Provider is Orcon. I have VDSL Internet and my router is a 'NetCommWireless' NF4V Gigabit router.

Heres the problem:
In the last few weeks I have been having issues connecting to specific websites (such as http://www.steampowered.com or their client installed on my computer. It's the same problem as I was having before but do not feel like resetting my router to factory as it proves to be a major issue setting it back up the way I like it again. I do not know what is wrong, and I do not know how to fix it.

If you know how what may be causing this, or/and know how to fix this issue please let me know!

Thanks,
Dallas Mitchell
UPDATE:
I can connect to Steam and their website now - but theres no telling if this error will happen again (which it will, it's more of a "when" statement rather than an "if"). This error is a downright pain in the backside. Also, this doesn't fix the issue where I constantly have to ipconfig /flushdns into command prompt. If you believe you know how to fix this issue, please help me out!

Hi

Try changing the DNS Server address from automatic to the following:

Preferred = 8.8.8.8
Alternate = 8.8.4.4.

This is the Google DNS Server

See here for further information:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windo...=windows-7

I have a feeling that you are going to need further assistance with this one.
It could be malware causing the problem.
If the above doesn't do it for you ( and this is just a work-around ) I suggest that you register with a site that allows more than one post.
I can recommend http://www.freepchelp.co.uk - there are trained experts there who can help with malware removal.
