I do like taking photos in hd and the whole aspect of getting a dslr camera .I do love taking quality photos, but at the same time i enjoy playing apps and watching movies on a tablet wherever i go such as on a plane. Which would be the better purchase ?
Thanks a lot guys. Your answers held a lot *helped Ads |

You'd do better to get a Nokia 1520 phablet.
http://www.knowyourmobile.in/nokia/nokia...ll-endowed If you want DSLR quality (notieceably crisper and punchier than any android powered device) then you have to be prepared to carry a DSLR around with you on a regular basis. Ads |

A D3200 with lens costs just under $500 and has a sensor that is at least 15 times larger than the sensor in my Samsung Tab 3, 10.1 cameras.
If your goal is to produce brilliant photos, then the D3200 is the best choice. Since you can now by the Tab 10.1 for under $250, I would suggest you get the camera and start learning the fundamentals of photography. As far as watching movies on the Tab 3, 10.1, I can stream video from my local library using the Overdrive App supplied for free from the library. The difference between the two is that the camera will open up your creativity, something that will teach you how to see your world in a whole different way. The Samsung will only entertain you, leaving your fine, creative mind to idle in neutral. There will be plenty of time to buy a Samsung in the next 6 months or so. |

Get the tablet. It has a decent point and shoot camera and you can always get as creative as you want with your photos through whatever apps they have. So from what it sounds like, that would be my recommendation for you.
However, if you're interested in doing more creative things with your photos, making movies and have the time and money to invest in lenses, flash, batteries, bag, mic, and filters, then the Nikon D SLR you mentioned would be a better investment. As the other users' comments explain, you must also be comfortable with hauling around all of your lenses whenever you go out to shoot and spending lots of time on learning how to use all of the different options when shooting with an SLR. Because the type of person shooting with an SLR wants more control over their photos and isn't just looking to quickly capture a decent shot, post it online for your friends to see, and then move on to something else like playing with apps, etc. |

Its pretty simple, if you want a device for different type of entertainment purpose like, movies, games, Tv shows, YouTube videos, facebook, twitter, emails, reading books, blogs, doing research work, using different apps for different purpose, listening to music etc then you need a tablet.
Review on Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1(Is it worth it?): http://compare-e-readers.com/samsung-gal...0-1-review But if you want to enter field of photography then the camera on Tablets is not the type of camera you should be using for that purpose. It can be fun for sometime but you do need a bit of a professional camera instead if you are looking forward to photography. Hope this helped! |
