If I were you I would go with Wordpress site because it's a lot easier to create and maintain it. Also, Wordpress is better CMS when it comes to SEO. But if you are more familiar with Joomla that's great CMS too.
As for the domain name, I would go for .COM for sure - http://www.discoversivakasi.com
The categorization comes as you build the website and google shows that only for the most popular websites, or the first website from the search results.

Wordpress is by far the better platform for your endeavors -- the community around it is very large and you will be able to source pluggins and widgets for various functions needed for your Web presence. There are even plugins for SEO but I would instead rely on the tried and true tools from several sources -- for example Google Analytics and Google Webmaster tools. Both of those will provide you with regular analysis of what and how is being done on your web site and how you should tune your content there to adjust to the current search patterns in the global visitor space your site generates.
As far as the domain name is concerned -- you may want to test the results from searches on Google, Bing etc for what you think your customers will search for and see how that matches to your domain name. If both are valid from search results standpoint, then register them both, and point one to the other....so you capture traffic from both types of Web URLs.

You can take a look at the optimizations done on my blogs and e-commerce sites:

Good luck
