Flash not uploading?

Hi, so I need to install/update my flash player. I uninstalled it (for some reason, I forgot) and now I need it to play videos. When I try to install it, it installs to 50% and then tells me to close my google chrome and safari because it is interfering with the installation, but they're both closed. Can someone help me? Thanks

Chrome doesn't require flash to play vids. Just check if your browser version is up to date.

Think safari needs none ie flash installed, possibly.

install ie flash from link below. You might have to get and install shockwave player, framework 4.5, silverlight 5.
