No luck with girls?

I don't drive girls away, but it just seems like it's not meant for me to have a girlfriend right now. It may sound crazy, but being a junior in high school and being a good guy, it just seems that way. One of my classmates even bullcrapped me and he said he was 'going to put in a good word' for me with this girl but he did nothing at all and i found out a few months later, she has a boyfriend. Even this past weekend, my mom had company over our house and she invited her friend and her sister (she's a senior and she goes to a different school than me). I felt that she had some sort of interest in me i.e eye contact while laughing in group conversation, laughing at what i said, etc. She seemed like my type of girl, cool, old-fashioned, animal lover, and quiet. The next morning she sent me a friend request and i accepted. I messaged her first later that day and still no response (about 2 days). Believe it or not, she hasn't even seen it so now i'm getting impatient and thinking of already moving on if this girl doesn't respond or even check her messages. Also my only way of communicating with her is through Facebook. I mean she's sort of active but i sent her the message, and when she's "active" she doesn't view the message. I don't get it... Why wouldn't she check her messages? Is she not expecting a message? I just felt that she had some interest in me but... I have no luck supposedly with girls (not looking for a pity party) or enough luck to get a girlfriend while my friends have 'options' at their disposal and I know I'm a better guy for girls than my friends. Why wouldn't she respond? I know i can't base anything off Facebook but i don't know what to do. What should i do next? Wait or move on? I don't really want to give up on this girl yet even though i just met her.

keep trying. Be confident and you'll find the right girl
