can I use a photographers picture of our wedding on facebook?

can I display an unwatermarked photo of my wedding which was taken by the photographer?
My wife and I got married in 2013 and we were given two sets of pictures by the professional photographer we hired on a memory stick. One set had a watermark the others had no watermark. My wife has received an email from him demanding we take the photos down from facebook with no watermark. 9an anyone help please?

If the photographer retained the rights to the picture, no, you can't legally use the picture. If you paid for and received the rights to the picture, then you can.
