how do you transfer IE toolbars to Google Chrome?
I've just started using Google Chrome and I was wondering if there is any way that you can transfer toolbars you had in other browsers (in my case, internet explorer 9) to Google Chrome.

You can't transfer toolbars from one company's browser to another. Internet Explorer uses an engine called Trident, and Google Chrome browser (excluding Google Chrome OS) runs on Webkit.

Meaning that the two browsers speak different languages, so you will need to re-install the toolbar from the site that provides them.

However, I don't recommend that you install toolbars in the first place, usually is associated with spyware and other malicious software, which is why Google Chrome doesn't really allow toolbars to begin with.
