it very well could be old age. She may be getting sick, but don't worry. Just love her up, she will either get better or.... you know. but if she passes it will be peaceful if she has love even though she seems funky

Hi Cammi, I really do not want to alert you and really hope your hamster recovers. My hamster died today, the symptoms you described are the same as to the ones my hamster suffered. Enlarged belly etc. My hamster Francois developed a large stomach about two weeks ago but only the last 48 hours it really affected him. I really recommend you take your hammy to the vet and try and find a suitable antibiotic to help. Hamsters that are ill need alot of taking care of, make sure her cage is clean as even small dirty areas can lead your already poorly hamster to become more poorly. Let her rest as much as possible and make sure food and drink are within easy reach.
