Why can't I write anything on Instagram?

Why can't I write anything on Instagram?
I have a ipad air and on Instagram I posted a picture and added a caption but it didn't add it. Also when I tryed to reply to a comment it wouldn't let me it, I pressed send and it like deleted itself. So like do you have any ideas on how to fix this?

Sounds like software issues, the next update is likely to fix it, keep a check on your updates in app store or turn on auto updates.
