Why am I so fragile.....?
I've been dealing with anorexia, depression and self harm for about 2 years now. Most people know or can guess most of what's been going on because when the SH got at it's worst there were cuts so far up my arm they were impossible to hide, and it got to the point where I didn't care. And my radical weight loss was a big indication, my hair started falling out too. Of course my parents and the school found out and I'm having therapy and everything now. I have a special counsellor at school and a time out pass and I'm allowed to wear a jumper to hide the cuts from the other kids. My question is, why does everybody treat me like I'm made out of glass? They're always so careful and scared around me.

Because your diseases are also coupled with SEVERE depression and they just want to look out for you. If your not depressed then tell them and try your best to get over your other symptoms k

I suffer from anorexia and bulimia as well as depression. I understand what you mean when people treat you as if you are made of glass. It's because they care and they don't want you to hurt yourself anymore. They love you and want you to get better. They are so afraid of saying the wrong thing because they don't know how you will react. Try assuring them that you are not so fragile, tell them not to worry. And even though they will still worry, it will help assure them. I hope everything turns out okay for you. Stay strong.
